Every fellow brings a unique perspective to the Media Fellowship in Occupational Health (MFOH). Through our new Meet the Fellows series, we’re introducing the journalists, filmmakers, and content creators who are helping shape conversations around occupational health across Africa.
Our first feature is Mercy Muriuki from Kenya, who shares how the fellowship reshaped her perspective on storytelling:
“My experience at the COEHA Fellowship was truly enriching. As a filmmaker, it was my first time learning about occupational health, and it opened my eyes to the importance of telling stories that promote safer and healthier workplaces. I gained valuable knowledge from the trainers and appreciated the practical insights they shared. One of the highlights was connecting with fellows from different countries, exchanging ideas, and learning from their diverse experiences. I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to producing impactful occupational health content in the future.”
